Alpha Foxtrot

Most new brands start with a design and go looking for someone to build it. Alpha Foxtrot started from the other end. Their parent, Dasan Machineries, has spent three decades as a tier-one OEM machining components that end up inside firearms sold under other names, and builds under contract for the South Korean military. Alpha Foxtrot is the badge they put on the outside.

Building here was a bet on the American market. A tier-one supplier could have gone on quietly selling components to other makers; instead Dasan put 80,000 square feet into Duluth, Georgia and their own name on the finished gun. Forged parts from South Korea, machined and hand-finished in the USA. One gunsmith fits each firearm, test fires it, then strips and cleans it before it ships.

The flagship is the Romulus, a double-stack 1911 built in compact, commander and full-size, cut for an optic and shipped on night sights. Around it the catalog covers single-stack 1911s in .45 ACP, 9mm and 10mm, compacts built to share parts with guns people already own, and AR-15 rifles and braced pistols.
