You don't need an FFL to buy on either marketplace. To sell on the Community marketplace, no license is required. To sell on the Bid/Ask marketplace with real-time pricing, you'll need to be a licensed FFL dealer.
Payments are held securely until the transaction is complete. All firearms ship to a licensed FFL dealer of the buyer's choice, where they'll complete the required background check before pickup.
