Auto-Ordnance carries one of the most famous names in American firearms history: the company originally behind the Thompson submachine gun. Today, as part of Kahr Firearms Group in Worcester, Massachusetts, it produces semi-automatic, civilian-legal versions of those military classics for collectors, reenactors, and shooters who love American martial history.
The semi-auto Thompson — the "Tommy Gun" of Prohibition-era lore and World War II service — is the centerpiece, offered in faithful 1927A-1 styling with the iconic finned barrel and drum or stick magazines. Auto-Ordnance also builds GI-style and commemorative 1911 pistols, many with engraved military tributes, and a reproduction of the M1 Carbine that armed U.S. troops across the 20th century.
