Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta traces its history to 1526 in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy, making it the oldest active firearms manufacturer in the world — and one of the oldest companies of any kind. Nearly five centuries and fifteen generations of the Beretta family later, it remains a benchmark for craftsmanship.

Beretta is known on two fronts. Its 92 pistol — adopted by the U.S. military as the M9 and carried as the standard sidearm from 1985 to 2017 — defined the full-size service handgun for a generation, joined today by the rotating-barrel PX4 Storm, the striker-fired APX, and the compact Cheetah and Bobcat. On the long-gun side, Beretta's shotguns are legendary: the 686 over/under Silver Pigeon for the field and clays, the A300 and A400 semi-autos for hunting and 3-gun, and the 1301 for competition and defense. The BRX1 straight-pull rifle rounds out the line.

Beretta's U.S. operations are based in Gallatin, Tennessee. For shooters who value heritage and fit and finish, few names carry the weight of Beretta.
